I do love chunky blue cheese dressing on crisp iceberg lettuce. Add in some sliced cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, diced purple onion, and you have fantastic meal. The black angus filet is a winner too, but the classic wedge salad is my favorite.
A luscious cab always pairs wonderfully with a classic wedge salad. Featured above, the Domaine Bousquet Gaia Cabernet Sauvignon SRP $20. (wine sample)
There is an appreciation for organic farming you can actually taste in wines made with organic grapes. Perhaps also the labor of love from the grape growers and winemakers at Gualtallary Vineyards; the vineyard is situated within the Andes foothills of beautiful Tupungato and Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina.
Another great Gaia choice is their 100 percent Cabernet Franc… SRP $20 (wine sample) photo noted below; made with all hand harvested organic fruit. Dry, medium acidity and great tannins too. Wine has a solid body with some red fruit, black cherry, black pepper and just a lovely hint of vanilla. Enjoyed this Gaia Cabernet Franc with some mouthwatering rosemary garlic butter pork chops.
I have found Domaine Bousquet wines from Argentina to be some of the best food friendly finds, and for the remarkable price point you can taste and appreciate them too.
