Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Moscato, oh my!
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I'm already getting my fill tasting the luxury Italian wine collection from Gemma di Luna; Prosecco DOC, Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie, and especially their sweet spritzy sparkling Moscato made from the finest premium grapes grown in Piemonte, Italy.
Oh my, the Gemma di Luna Moscato is available in these adorable miniature bottles too! Perfect for entertaining, weddings, and special occasions. Perhaps, a mini-Moscato when you don't want to open a full bottle of sweet wine, just because you need a little taste of sweetness to appreciate that divine dessert.
Often I'm asked; What wine would you pair with sweets and dessert? Well, a sparkling Moscato is ideal to indulge with those chocolate covered strawberries, and decadent chocolates. The sweet pairing possibilities with sparkling Moscato are many. Plus, these blue teal color Gemma bottles are absolutely stunning.
Then, there's Gemma Prosecco DOC crafted Extra Dry from premium grapes grown in the hilly vineyards of Italy's famous Prosecco DOC; Extra Dry meaning it's light, and delicate with just a subtle hint of sweetness. Enchanting Pinot Grigio DOC Delle Venezie; Delle Venezie is Italy's best-known wine designation made famous recently for stepping up their production of quality Pinot Grigio. Quite refreshing with peachy aromas, tropical and citrus flavors. An excellent accompaniment to chicken, seafood, grilled vegetables, and less sweet desserts like these fruit tarts, and strawberries.
These wines are lovely, very affordable and readily available within the Greater Houston area. Personally, I found the Gemma di Luna wines here in the Houston Heights at Target, HEB, Kroger, Total Wines, and all of them priced under $15.00 each. Happy Valentine's Day!
